Axcan Pharma to present at Credit Suisse First Boston's Healthcare Conference

MONT SAINT-HILAIRE, QC, Nov. 9 - Axcan Pharma Inc. ("Axcan"
or the "Company") today announced that on Wednesday, November 16, 2005,
president and chief executive officer, Dr. Frank Verwiel, will present an
overview of the Company at Credit Suisse First Boston's Healthcare Conference
held in Phoenix, AZ. This presentation will take place at 9:30 A.M. local time
(11:30 A.M. EST).
